The Jesus Calls Prayer Tower began its services in 1984 at Chennai and in 1998 at Coimbatore. “Prayer Warriors” wait beside the telephone/fax/e-mail to receive prayer requests from people in want. In response to the prayer requests, they pray immediately. It is a service that works ROUND THE CLOCK. Whatever the problem, a prayer asking for help can be requested. The Jesus Calls Ministry firmly believes that the prayers will be answered.

Prayers are said in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The Jesus Calls Prayer Tower also offers counselling and Healing Services.

Jesus Calls Ministry was started by the efforts of one man, Br DGS Dhinakaran, in 1962. Br Dhinakaran had faced many trials in his early life. On the night of 11 October 1962, he is said to have had a vision of the Lord Jesus. Since that day, he has been committed to spreading the message of the Lord.

Today, the Jesus Calls ministry reveals the love and compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ through 20 different facets. Some of these facets are Good News Meetings, 24 hours Prayer Tower, Radio Ministry, "Jesus Calls" magazine, "True Friend" magazine, Literature, Correspondence, Television Programmes, Karunya Institute of Technology (a full-fledged residential Engineering College) and Bethesda Prayer Centre at Karunya Nagar, a project of Jesus Calls that attracts thousands of visitors.
